Collaborators

Working in concert with amazing collaborators is one of the ways we can support more people to

Connect with Nature, Connect with Yourself.

Have scroll below to see some of the wonderful people making a difference in this world right here at The Forest!

Peace & Possibility

Meet Nicole Schiener, a 20+ year Registered Psychotherapist, HSP-Knowledgeable Therapist and Professional Facilitator who felt a deep calling in 2021 to open a sustainable and flexible private practice that incorporates her love of Nature.

Over the past four years, she’s blended two decades of experience at a non-profit counselling agency with specialized training in the transition to parenthood and compassion fatigue prevention with wisdom gained from her own motherhood journey and recovery from burnout and compassion fatigue. She caringly supports women throughout their reproductive journeys and those childless by choice. Like most highly sensitive people, she’s always been a nature lover and found time in nature especially helpful to soothe and calm her overstimulated nervous system as a parent of two little ones.

Starting in December 2025, Nicole is thrilled to be adding the beautiful indoor space at The Forest to her offerings on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings for individual therapy and in the future workshops, groups and retreats.

Bear Heart Breathwork

Brit Calixterio is a Seven Directions® trained breathworker practitioner, mother and guide who weaves breath, circle and ceremony.

Through her work with Bear Heart Breathwork, The Remembering Way and community circles, she invites others into deep healing and reconnection with the wisdom of breath, body, and lineage.

With over a decade of experience holding circles and containers, Brit weaves breathwork, shadow work, inner-child healing, re-parenting and ancestral remembrance into spaces that are both tender and transformative.

Bear Heart Breathwork and The Forest have collaborated since the fall of 2024 to bring breathwork and solstice events to The Forest. Together, they created the transformative Men’s Breathwork events with the intention of holding space, affirmative space for men’s healing.
